Manchester City is using technology from Cisco to improve the fan experience at its Etihad Stadium. The club is deploying WaitTime's real-time crowd management platform to crunch data on crowd movement and density, allowing it to make real-time adjustments to concourse and bar usage. The system is currently limited to the first tier of the stadium, but there are plans to expand to the second and third tiers, and link WaitTime's platform to digital signage so supporters can find the shortest queue. The club expects the technology to reduce congestion and queues, and increase revenue.
